The National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program (NGYCP) addresses the growing dropout crisis and its impact on our nation’s youth, economy and national security. This one-of-a-kind and nationally successful program assists adolescents who drop out of school with the opportunity to improve their life skills, their education and their employability. Therefore, NGYCP is creating our next generation of a skilled and sustainable workforce in America.
The Georgia National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Foundation’s efforts are directed primarily toward developing, supporting and enhancing the Georgia National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academies and its Cadets with educational scholarships, public awareness initiatives, innovative partnerships and opportunities for training and developing workforce and life skills.
The Foundation in partnership with the Governor’s Office, the Adjutant General of Georgia’s Office and the National Guard Bureau is working diligently on ways to reduce high school drop out rates and give the Youth of Georgia a much-needed second chance to get their GED, High School Diploma and life skills for becoming successful and productive citizens meeting the needs of America’s Future!
It is also the mission of the Foundation to recognize individuals who have helped in creating innovative ideas for Georgia’s Youth ChalleNGe Program, and have tirelessly and generously given of their time and talents to keep Georgia’s Youth ChalleNGe Program Number One in the Nation.
